Recom RACC03-K encapsulated converters are available from RS Components
Recom AC/DC modules which deliver very high power density for industrial and household IoT applications have been added to the RS Components linecard.
The series of encapsulated switch mode power supplies (SMPS) is claimed to offer the smallest 3W AC/DC power solution available today.
The versatile RAC03-K series of modules has been designed for a range of applications and comes with international safety certifications for use in IT equipment and household devices and are also well-suited to IoT power designs in home and industrial automation and industry 4.0 applications.
They offer a very high power density, says RS and are supplied in a compact one inch2 footprint and delivers 3W single-output power across -40 to +60 degrees C and 2W up to +80 degrees C. No-load power consumption is less than 150mW, supporting the EU’s Ecodesign Lot 6 power design study for optimised standby-mode and off-mode power losses.
The RAC03-K modules have a universal input range from 85 to 264V AC and output options of 3.3, 5.0, 12, 15, 18 and 24V with output currents from 900mA down to 125mA.
The AC/DC modules are also supplied with a reinforced class II installation rating and a wide margin for class-B emissions compliance without requiring external components, adds RS.
The Recom RAC03-K series is shipping now from RS in the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.
