Right angle metal connectors save space in audio and broadcast

To maximise limited space in audio, broadcast and instrumentation applications, Cliff Electronics has introduced the right angle metal XLR plugs. The versatile connectors  from Cliff Electronics

Can be used in audio and broadcast applications which include microphones, amplifiers, active and monitor speakers, mixing desks and sound cards. They can also be used in digital and SLR cameras and home AV systems, industrial and test and measurement products.

Cliff offers the XLR plugs in male and female versions are available with three, four, five and seven pins with flexible cable entry and screw down cable restraint. Reliability is a minimum of 2,000 mating / unmating cycles, with low contact resistance of less than 5mOhm. The connectors also have high insulation resistance of 5000MOhm and above and they can withstand a voltage of 1,400V.

According to John Hall, managing director of Cliff Electronics: “The right-angle construction meets the increasing pressure from systems integrators to reduce enclosure sizes without sacrificing reliability or flexibility. As a UK manufacturer we have the flexibility to respond to global demand direct to OEMs and through our distribution network.”

Cliff Electronics designs and manufactures standard and FeedThrough connectors.
