Rigol’s UlraReal technology is used for RSA3000-E analyser

The Economic RealTime spectrum analyser series RSA3000-E from Rigol is based on its UltraReal technology. The analysers are compact, with touchscreen operation and can also be used as a scalar network analyser as it has an additional 1.5/3.0GHz tracking generator.

The RSA3000-E series offers a real-time spectrum analyser, operating at up to 10MHz, a GPSA spectrum analyser, an EMI integrated test tool for pre-conformity tests according to CISPR and ASK/FSK demodulation.

The extended performance RSA3000E-TG is an inexpensive alternative for users with challenging analysis tasks and limited budgets, adds Rigol.

The RT-SA module has a real-time bandwidth of 10MHz. Its fast FFT calculation means it has a 100 per cent probability of detection with correct amplitude (POI) of up to 9.3 micro seconds. In RTSA mode, signals can be recorded that cannot be measured with a normal spectrum analyser, claims Rigol. Different measurements can be displayed, such as tightness via the frequency, spectrogram or the power over the time range. All representations can be displayed at the same time. The device is suitable for measurements in the field of IoT, smart home or for the analysis of wireless communication technology. The versatile frequency mask trigger (FMT) can be used to acquire signals that are difficult to determine.

The GP-SA mode is based on the overlay principle and is characterised by low DANL (-161dBm/Hz, typical) and speed. The phase noise of the RSA3000E is -102dBc/Hz (typical carrier spacing: 10kHz).

The RSA3000E has a real-time bandwidth from 1Hz to 3MHz and can be set in one-three-10 steps. The user can set frequency ranges from 9kHz up to the full bandwidth (3.0GHz) of the instrument.

Integrated options, such as EMI filter and quasi peak kit and the expandable measurement functions as well as the EMI tool, make the RSA3000E-TG suitable for pre-compliance tests of assemblies, devices and components. The customer can run very inexpensive pre-tests in-house before the products are given to external, certified and cost-intensive test laboratories. This ensures that the EU standards for EMC are already met during product development.
