Robust humidity and temperature filter suits industrial settings
In industrial drying processes humidity measurement provides early warning for fluctuations in moisture content or provide an indirect indication of how close dried materials are to their desired final moisture content.
The HYT939P with PTFE filter is the optimal humidity and temperature sensor component for industrial drying applications by Innovative Sensor Technology (IST).
The factory calibrated sensor module comes in a standard TO39 housing and is equipped with a PTFE filter. This compact housing allows for easy positioning within the monitored process. The filter minimises the influence of solid particles and VOC compounds on the humidity sensor. According to IST, the HYT939P is suitable for demanding industrial settings which require a robust sensor which is insensitive to contamination.
The sensor is based on a capacitive polymer measurement principle with a fast response time, low drift and hysteresis. The sensor remains stable in a high humidity environment and can sustain condensation conditions. It comes fully calibrated, and temperature compensated and is therefore interchangeable without adjustments.
Operating range is -40 to +125 degrees C and has a humidity range of 0 per cent RH to 100 per cent RH. Accuracy is ±1.8 per cent RH at +23 degrees C (0 to 90 per cent RH).
The sensor’s digital output is I2C.
