RS Components boasts widest range of XP Power’s portfolio

Distributor, RS Components, claims to off the broadest range of power supplies from XP Power, following the announcement that it has introduced the QSB series of DC/DC converters.

Designed for applications including signal processing, telecomns, networking and industrial systems, the QSB Series delivers a stabilised output at a range of standard voltages between 3.3 and 48V, at power levels of 75 to 600W.

The DC/DC converters accept a range of input voltages, typically provided from a battery. Input ranges for most models are 2:1 or 4:1, including 18 to 36 or nine to 36V DC (24V nominal) and 36 to 75 or 18 to 75V DC (48V nominal). RS  Components also points out that the 150W QSB15048W models offer a wider 8:1 input range, accepting inputs from nine to 75V.

Power conversion efficiency is high, typically between 86 and 93 per cent depending on the model. High power densities of up to 123.0W/in3 are achieved. Modules can be connected in parallel for higher power requirements.

All QSB Series power converters provide 1500V DC isolation, with isolation resistance of 107 or 109 Ohm and isolation capacitance ranging from 100 to 4000pF. All provide remote on/off functions, and all except QSB15048W models include remote sense, compensating up to 10% per cent of nominal output voltage.

QSB converters are available in baseplate cooled packages with industry standard footprints, including half brick and full brick formats. They can operate over a wide temperature range from -40 to +100 degree C. Over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection are provided.

Each unit carries a three-year warranty.

The XP Power QSB Series is shipping now from RS in the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.

RS Components and Allied Electronics & Automation are the trading brands of Electrocomponents. The multi-channel distributor offers more than 500,000 industrial and electronics products, sourced from over 2,500 leading suppliers, and provides a range of value-added services to over one million customers. It has operations in 32 countries, and ships more than 50,000 parcels a day.
