RS Components introduces Fluke imaging cameras
For equipment maintenance applications, Fluke Professional smart infrared cameras can help locate and diagnose hot spots. They are available from distributor RS Components.
The Fluke Professional infrared thermal imaging cameras provide detailed images that help maintenance engineers and technicians to locate hot spots and diagnose potential problems in electrical systems.
There are four models in the series: the Ti300 PRO, Ti400 PRO, Ti450 PRO and the top-of-the-range model, the Ti480 PRO. Able to measure temperatures up to 1200 degree C, each camera comes with a range of viewing features and a high-resolution LCD touchscreen, as well as Fluke Connect software that enables easy equipment monitoring, adds RS Components.
Saving time and improving the reliability of maintenance data by wirelessly syncing measurements, Fluke Connect allows technicians to optimise images, perform analytics and generate customisable reports, for export to the Fluke Connect cloud-storage facility.
The intuitive visual interface and touchscreen enable users to highlight areas that are outside pre-set ‘normal’ temperature ranges with alarms. The PRO series also offers increased sensitivity to visualise temperature differences, for example the noise equivalent temperature difference (NETD) for the Ti450 PRO is less than 0.025 degree C at 30 degree C.
All four models in the PRO series have the manufacturer’s LaserSharp autofocus feature as standard, while the Ti400 and Ti480 also integrate Fluke’s MultiSharp focus capability. Specific viewing capabilities include spatial resolution ranging from 1.75 to 0.93mRad, display resolution from 240 x 180 up to a ‘SuperResolution’ mode of 1280 x 960 for the Ti480; and a 24 degree horizontal by 17 degree vertical field-of-view for three models, rising to 34 x 24 degree for the Ti480.
Each camera model has a standard infrared lens, an AC power supply and battery-pack charger, two lithium-ion smart battery packs, HDMI and USB cables and a 4Gbyte micro-SD card. Wide-angle, macro and 2x and 4x telephoto lenses are also available to capture more detail, together with a Bluetooth headset, tripod-mounting accessory and additional smart battery and charger.
