RS Components offers precision thick-film chip resistors from KOA

Thick film chip resistors by KOA and qualified to AEC-Q200 for use in automotive applications are available from RS Components.

The RS73 resistors are designed for high-precision use cases such as automation in industrial application or battery designs in the automotive sector.

The RS73 series of high-precision metal-glaze thick-film resistors offer tolerances of ±0.1 per cent and a TCR of 25 ppm/degrees C. The series has also shown excellent long-term stability characteristics in reliability tests, reports RS Components, with resistance changing only by ±0.2 per cent, typically, or up to ±0.4 per cent with long-term exposure to higher temperatures in harsh environments.

Qualified to AEC-Q200, the devices can be used in automotive design. The resistors are reliable, using KAO’s technology to protect against sulphuration, where inner electrodes of chip resistors can react with sulphur gas, to create silver sulphide and a possible circuit disconnection.

Resistance ranges from 100 up to 1MOhm, operating voltage is up to 100V, and up to 150V overload voltage. Operating temperature ranges from -55 to +155 degrees C.

The RS73 chip resistors have lead-free terminations to meet EU RoHS requirements, and are suitable for both flow and reflow soldering processes.

The KOA RS73 thick-film chip resistor range is now shipping from RS in EMEA, Asia Pacific and North America.
