RS Components sheds light on portfolio with Osram’s Osconiq P LEDs

LEDs for architectural design and general lighting applications in Osram’s Osconiq P series are now available from RS Components.

The high-power LEDs are in epoxy-based packages, rather than conventional ceramic-based packaging, that are claimed to offer “outstanding reliability, long-term performance and excellent light output per dollar”.

Osram’s experience in automotive markets has been combined with its lead-frame technology and high-power chip capabilities to deliver the range of mass-market lighting applications, including the architectural, industrial and agricultural sectors.

The Osconiq P series includes the P2226, P3737 and P7070 families. The P2226 is a white and colour LED series that offers a full mid-power colour portfolio, along with high levels of corrosion resistance. The family also combines a compact package with a footprint of only 2.6 x 2.2mm. The wide current and temperature operating ranges enable design flexibility in professional lighting markets, including horticultural lighting.

For compact luminaire designs, the P3737 family offers a minimised package size, with long lifetime and a high light output. For example, the family includes a 2.0W and a 3.0W version and is suitable for professional outdoor lighting such as street or tunnel lighting.

Targeting outdoor lighting and industrial luminaires, the high-power white-colour P7070 family offers 8.0W performance. According to RS Components, it can enable a significant reduction in system costs for lighting designers with “excellent thermal behaviour and best-in-class reliability”. The family also offers a wide selection of lenses for secondary-optics applications.

Devices in the Osram Osconiq P series are now available from RS in the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.
