RS Components stocks Harting’s PushPull connectors for industrial applications

Distributor, RS Components, now stock the second generation PushPull V4 series of connectors from Harting. The connectors are secure and reliable for Industry 4.0, says Harting.

The PushPull industrial range covers data to signal to power, with a high degree of modular flexibility. As a result, the connector series meets the needs of a range of industrial applications. For example, industrial production processes are increasingly dependent on modular, flexible connectors, for cabling and termination techniques.

If industrial production needs to be converted or relocated, the PushPull system can reduce downtime through conversion and servicing work, by quickly disconnecting and reconnecting industrial processes, says RS Components.

This second generation of PushPull V4 connectors feature a new housing material that has been designed to provide protection from extremely aggressive chemicals, including cutting oils used for lathing or milling machines.

PushPull V4 connectors offer more security with its plug-in connection lock. This is an additional rotation lock that secures the PushPull locking element following insertion, which can deliver improved process reliability. The new PushPull also has only one cable clamp; the previous version had three. There is also an increased cable diameter ranging from 4.5 to 10mm. This helps industrial customers deal with leaks or inadequate strain relief, says RS Components.

The series also features a set of two different colour markings. The first colour coding delivers easy plugging, providing a quick indication of correct alignment between connector and socket. The second colour coding helps to ensure proper assignment, especially in the case where an application has many PushPull connectors installed side by side, to prevent incorrect wiring and to save time during installation.

The Harting PushPull V4 series of connectors is now shipping from RS in the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.
