RS Components stocks Samtec AcceleRate HD interconnects
Intended for fast signalling applications, the AcceleRate HD range of dense micro interconnects from Samtec offer a space-saving, flexible design and optimised Edge Rate contacts for enhanced signal integrity. The range is now available from distributor, RS Components.
The space-saving mezzanine strips feature high-speed Edge Rate contacts and open pin-field design. According to RS, their flexibility and ease of integration make them particularly suitable for varied applications from broadcast video to optical systems, which demand fast, clean signalling.
Samtec’s AcceleRate HD interconnects are available in a highly dense design with up to 240 I/Os (four rows with 10 to 60 positions each). They measure just 5.0mm high and 5.0mm wide. The low profile, slim design saves space and is easy to integrate into existing ICs, says the company. There are also various stack height (from 7.0 to 16mm) and mount options – including right-angle – to suit a variety of application.
Additionally, the solder ball technology enables simplified processing and self-aligning, reducing installation time.
AcceleRate comes in an open pin-field design enabling more grounding and routing options, continues RS. In addition, its ADM6 surface mount header, delivering 56Gbits per second PAM4 performance (28 Gbps NRZ). It is compatible with both the UMPT and UMPS series, allowing flexible, two-piece power/signal solutions.
Other key features include the high-speed Edge Rate contact system that is designed, simulated and optimised for 50 and 100 Ohm systems to enhance signal integrity performance. The milled surface of the contact creates a smooth mating surface, which reduces wear on the contact increasing durability.
The AcceleRate range consists of ADM6 0.635 mm four-row terminal and ADF6 four-row socket, both compatible with PCIe Gen 5.
The Samtec AcceleRate range is now available from RS in the EMEA region.
