Rugged GNSS receiver offers positioning with Wi-Fi, UHF and 4G LTE
Extended wireless communications and triple band precise positioning are offering in a single GNSS receiver by Septentrio. The AsteRx-U3 is a multi-frequency GNSS receiver for machine control, construction and mining applications. The rugged receiver combines the GNSS core with extended wireless communication features including Wi-Fi, UHF and 4G LTE. The versatile connectivity features make the receiver easy to fit it into any control system, observes Septentrio.
The AsteRx-U3 is intended for the industrial automation market. The receiver offers a guaranteed low latency of under 10 mseconds and a high data rate, which allows machines to work with rapid as well as accurate movements, says Septentrio. An IP68-rated housing with fixing brackets and robust M12 connectors are designed for a quick, reliable installation.
Septentrio designs and manufactures multi-frequency multi-constellation GPS/GNSS positioning technology for demanding applications. Positioning at centimetre-level enables machine automation to improve efficiency and safety. Septentrio provides positioning solutions for industrial applications such as robotics, construction, survey and mapping, maritime, logistics and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Septentrio has its headquarters in Leuven, Belgium and offices in Los Angeles, Shanghai, Seoul and Yokohama as well as partners around the world.
