Rutronik introduces SA Bluetooth 5.4 module NEVA from iVativ
High performance, long range, and reliable wireless operation are crucial for IoT applications. With iVativ’s NEVA module, Rutronik offers a component designed precisely for this purpose. NEVA is an ultra-low-power standalone module based on Nordic Semiconductor’s nRF52833, which simultaneously supports Bluetooth 5.4, 802.15.4 Thread, as well as ZigBee, and also offers an integrated NFC-A tag. The highly efficient development environment makes the module suitable for applications in various IoT industries such as home automation, wearables, IIoT, and smart medical.
The integrated high-performance ARM Cortex-M4 with 512 kB Flash and 128 kB RAM reduces system costs and offers design flexibility. With integrated wireless and network stacks, application APIs, and security features supported by ARM Trust Zone Cryptocell-310, this module reduces time-to-market and development costs.
With a small footprint of 10 mm x 15 mm x 1.6 mm, the modules have an integrated PCB antenna or MHF4 connector and enable a range of over 1,400 meters. The component also impresses with its extremely low power consumption of 450 nA in deep sleep mode, 1.5 μA in system standby mode, and 4.8 mA in TX at 0 dBm output power.
