Rutronik offers USB4 v2.0 of JAE’s DX07 connector series

Several protocols are combined via a single interface in the USB4 version 2.0 specification. It enables transfer speeds of up to 80Gbits per second, which is a 400 per cent increase on the earlier specification, said Rutronik. The distributor is now stocking JAE’s connectors and cables with DX07 series USB4.

The series includes Receptacle connectors, available as onboard (hybrid or SMT) and mid-mount (SMT) versions. The internal design has been optimised to improve signal integrity performance, said Rutronik. A new feature of the specification is that connectors must now pass SI tests to obtain USB4 40Gbits per second (Gen 3) certification.

For example, the DX07S024JAAR1100, is an I/O connector that can be used in 24 positions and at a 90 degree angle. Its maximum rated current is 5A and it has a rated voltage of 48V rms, as well as an initial contact resistance of 40 mOhm or insulation resistance of at least 100 MOhm. The connector is suitable for use in PCs, tablets, VR / AR and SSD applications.

Other models with USB4 certification are the DX07S024XJ4, DX07S024XA8, DX07S024JAA, DX07B024JAA and DX07BD24JJ4 receptacles, the DX07P022FA1 plug, and the DX07880B08 and DX07881B10 cables.

The company has also developed a USB4 40 Gbit per second certified passive harness.

The DX07 series USB4 is suitable for use in smartphones, tablets, PCs, digital still and video cameras, Bluetooth earphones and headphones, VR/AR headsets, monitors, hubs and sockets, USB chargers, printers, POS terminals and powerbanks.
