Rutronik signs global distribution deal with Laser Components
Distributor, Rutronik has signed a global distribution agreement with custom laser-based and optoelectronic components manufacturer, Laser Components.
The agreement includes all of the German manufacturer’s product range which includes photodiodes, IR components, lasers, laser modules, fibre optics and optical components. The laser and optoelectronic products are used in various industrial applications, for positioning and marking in the medical, industrial, and laser systems markets.
“With the addition of Laser Components’ products, we are expanding our portfolio to include laser components for every industrial application – including laser modules and accessories, precision lasers, and lenses for CW laser diodes. This will allow us to target new markets like medical technology,” says Shirley Coblenzer, senior marketing manager of opto products at Rutronik.
Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente is the third largest distributor in Europe (European Distribution Report 2017) and number 11 worldwide (SourceToday, May 2018). The broadline distributor supplies semiconductors, passive and electromechanical components as well as boards, storage, displays and wireless products. The distributor serves customers in the automotive, medical, industrial, home appliance, energy and lighting industries.
