Shallow rack housing suit limited assembly space
19-inch rack housings from Fischer Elektronik are designed for use with electronic devices with low space requirement or for applications with limited assembly space.
The VESA GT 19-inch rack housing has a low installation depth for use by other devices or wiring. Typical applications of the VESA GT are those that combine display and control elements, says Fischer Elektronik. A terminal or connector strip can be installed for a power supply, for example, suggests the company.
The VESA GT case has a front panel consisting of an extruded aluminium profile and a cover plate made of an aluminium metal sheet that is 1.5mm thick.
Catalogue versions of the VESA GT cases are available in sizes of 1U up to 3U as well as with an insertion depth of 50 or 70mm. The surface of the VESA GT is natural colour anodized (ME) as standard. When using a conductive surface transparent passivated (TP), screw connections can be used to protect the case for EMC. The rack can be extracted using optional handles. The case design also has ventilations slots to allow an optimum heat dissipation of the installed electronic.
Fischer Elektronik can produce the case in standard designs but also in customised versions with different dimensions, surfaces, printing and customised machining.
