Space-qualified LVDS hybrid oscillators suit satellite applications
Space-qualified crystal oscillators from Q-Tech now include the QT6xxLW multiple output LVDS series multi-output LVDS hybrid oscillators.
These MIL-PRF-55310 oscillators are Type 1 Class 2 hybrids, delivering what is described as exceptional frequency and temperature stability for space satellite and other high-performance aerospace applications. Models are available with from one to 12 LVDS differential output pairs at selected frequencies between 15 to 200MHz.
The oscillators are offered in two packages, depending on the number of output pairs. There is a 20-pin, 0.625 x 0.625 inches (15.875 x 15.875mm) flat pack for one to six LVDS pairs and a 62-pin, 1.25 x 1.65 inches (31.75 x 42mm) flat pack for eight to 12 output pairs. Terminal finish options are gold or hot solder dip.
All QT6xxLW series oscillators operate from a 3.3V DC supply voltage. They are rated for operation over a full military -55 to +125 degrees C temperature range. All are quality conformance screened to MIL-PRF-38534, Class K modified standards.
For reliability specifications, it has 100 kRad (Si) total dose ionisation radiation hardening, integrated phase jitter (from 12kHz to 20MHz) less than one pico second, skew between outputs of less than 0.4 nanosecond.
