Subracks enable multiple design options
Subrack elements from Heitec have been added to the company’s standard product portfolio. The line-up now includes an efficient 1U cooling unit and two HeiPac DinRail 3U cap-rail models.
The HeiCool ECO is a 1U plug-in cooling unit which can save up to 79 per cent energy, claims Heitec, depending on the installation scenario. The housing is made of a high-strength aluminium alloy and includes specially designed air vents. In addition to a variant for conventional installation in a 19-inch cabinet, there is a slide-in version.
The modular nature of the cooling system, means that the individual parts are compatible with the entire HeiCool line and extend the performance range. The HeiCool ECO plug-in cooling unit is equipped with an LED display that can be used to check the operating status at any time. There is also a range of accessories. A thermostat has adjustable switch-on temperature and there are air guide panels for intelligent airflow guidance in the cabinet to avoid hot spots, for targeted cooling and energy efficiency. The program also includes a fan monitoring system that reports potential failures as well as fan control for use in fan trays, with multiple functions such as temperature threshold setting, temperature excess alarm and status request via an integrated I²C-Bus.
The AC voltage range of 230V is covered by default, but this can be easily converted if required. The HeiCool ECO can also be deployed as a retrofit option or for applications without its own ventilation.
Heitec’s standard product portfolio is now expanded with two 19-inch-based HeiPac DinRail-3U- racks. Both are offered with pre-assembled cap-rail to facilitate the installation of components on DIN rail modules.
The HeiPac DinRail ECO is a cost-effective, robust part which enables the easy integration of DIN rail elements into a 19-inch cabinet. The HeiPac DinRail PRO is a HeiPac Vario subrack for mounting all conventional DIN rail elements in the cabinet. HeiPac DinRail is also self-supporting at an installation load of 10kg.
