TDK adds EN 62477-1 compliant 240W power supply to industrial series
The ZWS series of industrial 10W to 300W power supplies has been extended by TDK-Lambda, adding the ZWS240RC-24 EN 62477-1 compliant 24V 240W rated AC/DC power supply.
The ZWS240RC-24 is certified to over voltage category (OVC) III for use in fixed installations, permanently connected to the distribution panel. Applications include robotic controllers used in automotive and other manufacturing equipment requiring a higher degree of protection from input voltage transients advises TDK-Lambda. OVC III compliance eliminates the need for an in-line isolation transformer, saving both cost and space.
Accepting a wide input range of 85 to 265V AC, the ZWS240RC-24 can operate without forced air cooling in ambient temperatures of -10 to +70 degrees C, derating linearly above 50 to 30 per cent load at 70 degree C. The output is adjustable from 21.6 to 26.4V to accommodate non‑standard voltages.
Typical hold-up time is 31milliseconds, allowing the output to maintain regulation through extended input voltage dips.
The overall dimensions of the ZWS240RC-24 are 84 x 180 x 42mm. Like other ZWS models, the ZWS240RC-24 is backed by a five-year warranty. It is also safety certified to IEC/EN/UL 60950-1 with CE marking for the Low Voltage and RoHS2 Directives. The ZWS240RC-24 meets EN 55011 and EN 55032 Class B conducted and Class A radiated emissions, EN 61000-3-2 harmonics and the IEC 61000-4 immunity standards.
