Technix appoints Powerstax exclusive UK distributor

Industrial power product manufacturer, Powerstax, has been appointed as the exclusive UK distributor for the Technix range of high voltage DC power supplies and capacitor chargers.

Established in 2000, Technix designs and manufactures a wide range of high voltage DC power supplies, capacitor chargers and electron beam power systems covering voltages from one to 350kV and with power ratings from 300W to beyond 500kW. Among the latest designs are models with a 4½ digit display and a voltage limitation function. Parallel operation allows maximum output power to be increased if required, adds Powerstax.

The power supplies and chargers use high-efficiency zero current switching (ZCS) resonance technology. The modular design and range of options allows Technix to offer flexible and customised power designs with fast delivery times.  Outputs are available as positive, negative, reversible or floating and digital interfaces including RS232, Ethernet, Profibus or Optical Fibre may be specified. Customised analogue interfaces including 24V relay, isolated interface or user custom interface may be requested.

“We are very pleased to have been appointed as UK distributor for Technix.” Comments Phil James, Powerstax Sales Director. “The high voltage options now at our disposal, complement our own transformer rectifier products and considerably widen our product options and market opportunities.”

Powerstax designs and manufactures standard, value-added and custom AC and DC power products for a broad range of fixed and mobile applications including hot swap, front end AC/DC bulk power, DC/DC converter bricks and modules and programmable, modular, rack mounted power supplies. The Drake range of transformer rectifiers offer output currents to 5,000A and output power up to 1000kVA. Powerstax offers power solutions are available for harsh (marine, offshore, desert) and hazardous (Zone 1 and Zone 2) environments which can be oil, air or water cooled and can be sealed up to IP65 if the environment dictates with purge and pressure systems and heat exchangers incorporated if required

Powerstax serves high-end industrial, defence, vehicle and transportation, defence and avionics markets, as well as water treatment, test, measurement and control and medical equipment sectors.
