Three-phase bridge power modules are in compact MTC package
Three series of 130 to 300A three-phase bridge power modules are provided in the compact MTC package by Vishay Intertechnology. They deliver reliable operation for heavy-duty industrial applications, said the company.
The 130 A VS-131MT…C, 160 A VS-161MT…C, and 300 A VS-301MT…C Vishay Semiconductors devices are optimised for line frequency input rectification in welding machines, switch mode power supplies, plasma cutting, battery chargers and motor control. The encapsulated devices offer a rugged design for these environments, while the highly conductive MTC package provides “excellent” thermal behaviour, said Vishay.
Connection is via a simple screw-mount mechanism, which reduces assembly time. Each of the three power module series is available with blocking voltages of 1,600 and 1,800V. All offer 3,600V RMS isolation voltage, low forward voltage down to 1.54V and low junction to case thermal resistance down to 0.038 degrees C per W.
The power modules are designed and qualified for industrial-level applications. They are RoHS-compliant and UL-approved.
Samples of the new power modules are available now. Production quantities are available with lead times of 20 weeks.
