Torex adds TVS diode series to protect ICs from static discharge
Transient voltage suppressor (TVS) protection diodes from Torex Semiconductor are mounted in close proximity to an external interface to protect downstream ICs from electrostatic discharge.
The XBP06V0U2MR diodes have a pin capacitance as small as 0.8pF, making it possible to be used on high speed signal lines. Torex adds that they are also suitable for line protection of USB2.0, HDMI and other lines. Two TVS diodes are in a compact SOT-23 (2.9 x 2.8 x 1.3mm) package to save space.
The diodes are lead-free and comply with the EU RoHS Directive.
Torex Semiconductor provides CMOS power management ICs for battery powered and energy efficient applications. The company specialises in CMOS analogue technology, principally LDO voltage regulators, voltage detectors and DC/DC converters.
