Touch panel PCs are based on Intel Atom E3900 family

FUDA3 touch panel PCs are energy-efficient, fan-less panel PC, available in a  resistive single touch screen or a projective capacitive multi-touch screen format.

The PCs by Portwell are powered by the Intel Atom x7-E3950 quad core processor (12W, 2M cache and operating from 1.6 to 2.0GHz). The processor also integrates Intel HD Graphic Gen 9 engine, and has twice the GPU computing power than FUDA2 series panel PCs based on the Intel Atom E3845, said Portwell.

“The fan-less design ensures silent operation, improved reliability and reduced maintenance costs,” says Penny Liao, European product manager. “Equipped with a responsive touch screen and an industrial panel display available in 10.4,12.1 and 15-inch versions, the FUDA3 touch panel PC series includes an IP65-rated front panel and is housed in an aluminium bezel with anodising coating. This allows the PCs to operate reliably in harsh environments, added Liao.

The FUDA3 panel PC also features interfaces for industrial applications, namely  HDMI, two Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 3.0 and one USB OTG (on the go). There are also options to expand this to include two RS-232 / 422 / 485, two USB 2.0 or two RS-232 / 422 / 485 and a RS-232 port using I/O kit options. There is also provision for a 2.5 inch SATA HDD / SSD, one half-size mini-mSATA for storage capacity and one SMA antenna interface for optional Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and LTE function via a full-size mini-PCIe socket.

The company has implement touch technologies, such as noise immunity (CS 10Vrm) for industrial environments as well as radiated susceptibility support up to 50V/m, water resistance and heavy glove support for the FUDA3.

Operating temperature range is -25 to 60 degrees C and the cableless structure is also claimed to optimise thermal dissipation and ensure durability and reliability in harsh environments.

The FUDA3 panel PCs support 12 to 24V (±20 per cent) wide range DC input and there are options for panel mounting and standard 75 x 75mm and 100 x 100mm VESA mounting holes. The series supports Windows 10 and Linux.
