Touch panels are tailored for web or control applications

Opting for a contemporary design, Wago’s Touch Panels 600 allow users to complement their machinery with an advanced, high-tech screen and high-quality visualisations, says the company.

Fast operating speeds are possible via parallel execution of calculation operations, using high-performance Cortex A9 multi-core processor. Other features are an energy-saving standby function and integrated sensors for automatic brightness adjustment. All panels are equipped with the future-ready Linux operating system. When configuring with e!Cockpit, Wago’s engineering software, visualisations are created based on modern technologies such as HTML5.

Three versions are available that are tailored for use as a web panel, visu panel or control panel. A library can be used to allow the control panels to become IoT touch controllers that send data from the field level to the cloud. The SSH and SSL/TLS encryption methods are integrated by default for establishing secure HTTPS and FTPS connections.

Depending on the application, panels are available with resistive touchscreens for standard applications in the control cabinet, capacitive multi-touch panels with glass surfaces and panels with marine approvals for use in shipbuilding.

Wago expects the panels to be available in March 2019.
