Traco 15W DC/DC converter is now available from RS Components

DC/DC converters from Traco Power which meet the latest IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 IT safety standards are now available from RS Components.

The 15W shielded DC power converters in the THL 15WI series meet the latest UL62368-1 IT safety requirements, says RS Components. The converters are designed to be reliable but cost-efficient, says the distributor, for use in mobile equipment, instrumentation, and distributed power architectures for communications and industrial electronics.

They are encapsulated in 1.0 x 1.0 x 0.4-inch (25.4 x 25.4 x 10.16mm) metal packages with an internal EN 55032 class A EMI filter. They offer a 4:1 input range at nominal input voltages of 24V (9.0 to 36V) or 48V (18 to 75V) DC. Output options are 3.3V (3400mA maximum), 5.0V (3000mA max), 12V (1250mA max), 15V (1000mA max) or 24V (625mA max). All are precisely regulated to within ± one per cent accuracy. There are DC single output, and ±12V (±625mA max) or ±15V (±500mA max) and DC dual output variants. Single-output models have a ±10 per cent output voltage adjustment range. All devices offer 1,500V DC I/O isolation.

Efficiency is up to 91 per cent. The THL 15WI converters can operate at full load over an operating temperature range of -40 to +70 degrees C with an MTBF exceeding 1.3 million hours. Over-load, over-voltage and short circuit protection are included, together with remote on/off and trim functions. Optional heat sinks are available.

The Traco Power THL 15WI converters are shipping now from RS in the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.

RS Components offers more than 500,000 industrial and electronic products, sourced from over 2,500 suppliers and a range of services to over one million customers. It has operations in 32 countries and ships more than 50,000 parcels a day.
