Transformers cover 106 and 212MHz profiles
Transformers that cover the 106MHz and 212MHz G.fast profiles have been added to the Mid-DSLSCK family by Würth Elektronik.
The transformers are approved for Sckipio chipsets. (Israeli fabless semiconductor company, Sckipio Technologies, uses G.fast, the ITU-T broadband access technology to deliver fibre-like broadband access over existing wires.)
The transformers cover have low insertion loss over the entire frequency range, allowing data rates up to 1Gbit per second on lines less than 300m long, says the company.
These low profile transformers are surface mount design with a maximum height of between 3.7 and 5.0mm. They offer low inter-winding capacitance and low insertion loss and have 1875V isolation. Operating temperature is -40 to +85 degreesC.
The pick-and-placeable transformers are designed to meet IEC60950-1, EN60950-1, UL60950-1/CSA60950-1 and AS/NZS60950.1 supplementary insulation with 6kV surge or functional insulation.
The Mid-DSLSCK transformers maintain the quality of the signal over a maximum transmission distance. They enable Sckipio’s SCK1002 AFE and SCK1001 DFE chipsets to deliver high speed broadband access for G.fast modems, in consumer residences or customer premises equipment (CPE), central office (CO), distribution point units, and supporting data speeds up to 1Gbit per second on phone lines or coax lines.
