TTI adds Alps Tact switches and industrial components to portfolio

Specialist distributor of electronic components, TTI, has signed a pan-European franchise agreement with Alps Electric, manufacturer of electronic components for mobile devices, home electronics, vehicles and industrial equipment.

Alps developed the first Tact switches, offering a range of Tact switch varieties that offer a specific ‘feel’ for different applications, as well as reliable contacts with a three dimple dome design to give better dust resistance. An example of the range is the  SKTA series devices which have been developed to address industry trends for low profile, compact switches with IP67 ratings.

Alps also offers a range of sensors – magnetic, humidity, pressure and position encoders, spring contacts and thermal printers.

Ros Kruger, director, supplier marketing Europe – emech, sensors and power commented: “Alps is a huge name in tactile switches and we are sure our customers in the industrial, medical, automotive and home electronics sectors will enjoy using these leading technology products in their latest programs.”

Dario Bricchi, Alps sales and marketing manager, Europe added: “We see a very strong synergy between our two companies. TTI adds world-class customer support, logistics and stocking programs to Alps’ technically excellent, high quality product range. We know that our European customers will benefit from this new partnership.”
