Ultrasonic transceivers protect in moisture environments, says CUI Devices

Ultrasonic sensors from CUI Devices’ Sensors Group now include a range that has ingress protection ratings of IP67 or IP68 and high frequency ratings up to 400kHz. The CUSA-TR ultrasonic transceivers are claimed to have industry best lead times. They are suitable for applications which are subject to moisture and environmental contaminants.

The ultrasonic transceiver models carry expanded beam angles from seven to 80 degrees and with distance ratings from 0.03 to 15 meters. The operating temperature ranges from -40 to +85 degrees C. They are housed in compact, aluminium cases, available with through hole, wire leads and wire leads with connector mounting styles.

Combined transmit and receive functions in a single package mean that engineers can benefit from a simplified ultrasonic sensor for distance measurement, object detection, and proximity sensing.

The sensors are available now from stock with lead times of six weeks.

CUI Devices develop, manufacture and distribute electronic components for a broad base of market segments. In operation as CUI since 1989, CUI Devices has built customer and partner relationships with technical support and customer service.

In September 2019, CUI Devices announced a partial buy-out of CUI Inc’s operations, purchasing the audio, interconnect, motion, relays, sensors, switches, and thermal management lines.
