VadaTech bases latest blade processor on dual Xeon Cascade Lake-SP
The ATC128 is a high performance ATCA processor blade from VadaTech which has dual 24 core Intel Xeon processors, each with six banks of memory providing up to 384Gbyte DDR4 memory with error code correction (ECC).
For connectivity options, it is a versatile design with two PCIe Fabric interfaces, PCIe to RTM expansion, dual GbE base interfaces, dual front panel GbE egress ports, front panel micro USB (RS-232), USB 3.0 ports and front panel VGA connector. There is also on-board mSATA storage available for local boot.
This ATCA blade is PXI-boot capable via any of the on-board Ethernet interfaces. It offers serial over LAN (SOL) using hardware random number generation (RNG) to form a secure session. There is also dual redundant BIOS-boot capability with multiple watchdog timers for fail-safe, before and after operating system (OS) boot.
The ATC128 has an on-board FPGA which allows secure boot of the system. The FPGA can be reprogrammed by the customer to meet their security requirement. The ATC128 uses one of the most feature-rich health management modules in the industry, claims VadaTech, incorporating HTTP and HTTPS support, web interface, added security with SSL and multiple user permission levels. The blade can be ruggedised for harsh environments and VadaTech has a range of options for conformal coating.
