VadaTech offers one-slot 6U VPX benchtop chassis to test modules

Able to accept a front and a rear module (5HP or 10HP), the VTX991 is a single slot 6U VPX chassis from VadaTech. It is designed for development and testing of 6U VPX modules.

The panels on both the front and rear slots are removable for ease of probing and debugging. The VTX991 can be placed on bench in both horizontal and vertical positioning for ease of access.

The VTX991 comes with a universal AC power supply which provides 400W to the chassis. The chassis supplies all the necessary power (+12, -12, +5.0V) to the module in accordance with VITA 46 specifications. VadaTech also provides a battery pack which provides the VBAT to the module. The VTX991 allows the power to VBAT to be switched between the on-board battery pack and the power supply. Each of the rails has a sense resistor to allow the user to monitor how much power is being drawn from each rail using a simple voltmeter.

For health management applications, there is also a dual IPMI bus routed to a connector compatible with an external VadaTech VT007 bench top shelf manager for monitoring the VPX board sensors, and for compliance to VITA 46.11. The VT007 supports Tier 2 health management and can be ordered separately or as an option with VTX991.

VadaTech provides embedded computing from board-level products, chassis-level platforms, to configurable application-ready systems. With a focus on AdvancedTCA, MicroTCA, VPX and PCIe products, the company offers a combination of electrical, mechanical, software, and system-level expertise, which enables the company to provide customised commercial or rugged computing solutions to meet the most complex customer requirements, claims VadaTech.

VadaTech also offers specialised product solutions for VME, CompactPCI, and other architectures. It is a member of PICMG and VITA. VadaTech has headquarters, design and manufacturing facilities in Henderson, Nevada, USA and design, support and sales offices in Europe and Asia Pacific.
