VadaTech releases Xilinx UltraScale+ XCZU15EG FPGA carrier boards

Two products based on the Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ multiprocessor system on chip (MPSoc) have been announced by VadaTech.

The integrated systems and embedded boards manufacturer offers the AMC581 and VPX581, both based on the Xilinx UltraScale+ XCZU15EG MPSoC FPGA.

The AMC581 is an AMC FPGA carrier with a single FMC (VITA 57) site and is compliant to AMC.1, AMC.2 and AMC.4 specifications. The on-board, reconfigurable FPGA interfaces directly to the AMC FCLKA, TCLKA-D, FMC DP0-9 and all FMC LA/HA/HB pairs. The FPGA interfaces to a single DDR4 memory channel, which is 64-bit wide, for local data storage. The module has on board 64Gbyte of flash, 128Mbyte of boot flash and an SD card as an option.

The VPX581 is a 3U VPX FPGA Carrier with the same base architecture. Developers can therefore easily port between these two embedded computing form factors, says VadaTech. The unit includes a dedicate health management processor for use with chassis management supporting VITA 46.11 Tier-2 command set and is compatible with a chassis having JTAG Switch Module (JSM).

The Xilinx UltraScale+ XCZU15EG MPSoC FPGA, used on both boards, provide 3,528 digital signal processing (DSP) slices and 746k logic cells. The XCZU15EG includes a quad-core ARM application processor, dual-core ARM real-time processor and Mali graphics processing unit (GPU), as well as, over 26Mbit of block RAM and 31Mbit of UltraRAM. The FPGA is aimed at situational awareness, secure networking and machine vision applications.

VadaTech provides embedded computing solutions from board-level products, chassis-level platforms, to configurable application-ready systems. The company focuses in AdvancedTCA, MicroTCA, VPX and PCIe solutions, and combines electrical, mechanical, software, and system-level expertise to provide customised commercial or rugged computing to meet the most complex customer requirements. VadaTech also offers specialised product solutions for VME, CompactPCI, and other architectures. It is a member of PICMG and VITA and has headquarters, design and manufacturing facilities in Henderson, Nevada, USA, with design, support and sales offices in Europe and Asia Pacific.
