Würth Elektronik adds transformers for Ethernet to LAN range
Intended for industrial Ethernet interfaces, the WE-LAN AQ is a LAN transformer from Würth Elektronik eiSos. The electronic and electromechanical component manufacturer explains that the LAN transformer addresses the industrial sector’s requirements, particularly electrical parameters that enable powerful Ethernet communication interfaces. The WE-LAN AQ transformer can be used in applications up to 1000Base-T.
The WE-LAN AQ transformer uses coiling winding technology to reduce electrical fluctuations and increase reliability in terms of crosstalk, insertion loss, return loss, differential and common-mode rejection performance. The coiling winding technology is also claimed to boost performance over a wide frequency range. Automated production guarantees consistently high quality, says Würth Elektronik.
The WE-LAN AQ series Ethernet transformers are cost-effective, robust and reliable components, continues Würth Elektronik. The maximum height is just 4.5mm and the transformers are suitable for surface mount technology assembly.
