Würth Elektronik bends over backwards to save space in ribbon cables
Using an accordion design, ribbon cables from Würth Elektronik save space, as well as simplify storage in development and production. The WR-FFC (Flat Flexible Cable) Folded cable is available in 0.5 and 1.0mm pitches, each in three variable lengths: 120 to 200mm, 165 to 350mm and 280 to 500mm. FFC Type 1 has the contacts on one side, and FFC Type 2 has contacts on opposite sides. There are 20- to 50-pin versions available in 0.5mm pitch, and 10- to 30-pin versions in the 1.0mm pitch version.
