3000W power supply from Artesyn has medical and industrial safety approvals
Artesyn Embedded Technologies has announced the LCM3000 series AC/DC single-output enclosed power supplies, which can supply up to 3000W output power with medical and industrial safety approvals.
The LCM3000 is designed to be a cost-effective forced-air bulk front end power supply. It has configurable nominal outputs of 12, 24, 36, or 48V with output adjustability of ±25 per cent and maximum current of 250A. A standard 5.0V/2.0A housekeeping output enables OEM standby functions even when the equipment is nominally off.
The LCM3000 has standard features including power factor correction, variable speed ‘smart fans’, digital control, a five-year warranty and a typical efficiency of greater than 90 per cent.
The LCM 3000 series measures 11 x 7.0 x 2.5-inches (approximately 280 x 177.8 x 63.5mm) and offers power density of 15.7W per cubic inch.
The power supply series is suitable for industrial applications such as test and measurement equipment, industrial robotics, laser-carving machines, and factory automation, non-patient contact and non-patient critical medical, dental and laboratory applications, as well as for telecomms and datacomms equipment. With simple firmware options, the LCM3000 can be used for battery charging and driving LED lights.
