Farnell element14 adds dual channel generators from Aim-TTi

Claimed to provide leading performance, the TGF4000 series function/arbitrary generator from Aim-TTi is now available from Farnell element14, available for same day despatch.

According to Farnell element14, the TGF4000 offers true dual channel, high performance programmable function/arbitrary generators from 40 to 240MHz.

The TGF4000 series addresses demand from customers for increasingly high frequency and precision in test signals, says the company. The generator has two full capability channels which can be operated independently as if they were two separate generators, or in coupled or tracking modes with precise channel to channel phase control at a resolution of 0.0010.

The TGF4000 outperforms other generators in its price range by offering models at up to 240MHz with low harmonic distortion and phase noise, maintains Farnell element14. There is a selection of modulation types from either internal or external signal sources and a built-in wideband noise generator for users to evaluate design performance degradation with defined levels of signal noise. Audio band THD is significantly better than similar generators at just 0.05%, adds the company, and pulse jitter is dramatically lower than any comparable generator at only 30ps.

Arbitrary waveforms are 14-bits / 400Msamples per second (TGF4042 and TGF4082 models) or 16-bits / 800Msamples per second (TGF4162 and TGF4242 models).

Models in the TGF4000 series have a 4.3-inch high resolution colour screen, for  efficiency and clarity when carrying out complex testing. Graphs for both channels can be displayed side by side for easy comparison or alongside a detailed description of the settings selected, with each channel displayed in a set colour to provide instant recognition of the output channel when altering and updating settings or preferences.

The TGF 4000 series is available from Farnell element14 in EMEA, Newark element14 in North America and Mexico and element14 in Asia Pacific.
