Anritsu collaborates with Svyaz-sertificat and BI.Zone for IVS Russian e-call system
Communications and test specialist, Anritsu has released the test used by Svyaz-sertificat, the Eurasian Economic Union’s certification centre of telematics, telecomms and vehicles. It complies with the global navigation satellite system, GOST 33467-2015 specifications.
Svyaz-sertificat and BI.Zone have developed the Automated Functional Test Tool (AFTT), certification test software for use with the MD8475A/B and have already used it for GOST 33467 certification tests at Svyaz-sertificat. Until now, the test system has been available only at Svyaz-sertificat’s facility in Russia, requiring customers wanting to sell vehicles to the Eurasian Economic Union to perform the test at their site.
Since January 2017, all new vehicles sold in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) have been required to be equipped with the ERA-GLONASS emergency call system which passed the GOST certification test.
The MD8475A/B and AFTT functional testing in conformity to GOST 33467 can now be performed in customers’ own labs. This enables in-house conformity assessment in parallel with product development, reducing the risk of failing certification tests in Russia. It also reduces the cost of rework such as adjustments or re-inspections.
The MD8475B is an all-in-one base station simulator. The SmartStudio software is graphic user interface (GUI) –based, and together with test sequences prepared for automatic GUI control, it is widely used for 2G/3G/4G cell mobility tests, and normal or abnormal simulations.
It is possible to construct a simulated mobile network in which European eCall, NG-eCall, and Russian ERA-GLONASS are operated. These functions facilitate comprehensive testing of telematics control units (TCUs) and data communication modules, which contributes to reducing the costs and time to develop new products.
Svyaz-sertificat is a certification centre for telecommunications and mobile network equipment in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The ERA testing laboratory operates a suite of officially validated and measuring and test equipment which is used to conduct certification tests on equipment such as satellite navigation apparatus, wheeled vehicles, and communication equipment to confirm compliance with the emergency call systems (e.g. ERA-GLONASS, eCall). Developed by ERA’s acknowledged experts in automotive telematics, the AFTT testing software provides manufacturers with exclusive preliminary engineering testing. It also gives customers the opportunity to save costs and time by automating the testing process and ensuring that test results are not affected by human error.
