Fischer Elektronik’s KSG plastic cases protect against fire

Lightweight plastic boxes in the KSG range by Fischer Elektronik offer protection to UL 94 V-0. The plastic cases’ walls are just 3.0mm thick.

The cases consist of two half-shells which are joined together by snapping the tongue and groove joint together; there are no screws required.

The impact-resistant plastic is ABS with fire protection class UL 94 V-0 and has a grained surface. There is a choice of three case colours, tele grey 1 (similar to RAL 7045), graphite black (similar to RAL 9011) and traffic white (similar to RAL 9016). Two colours can be combined with one for the upper and one for the lower shell.

The case is supplied with self-adhesive and non-slip rubber feet so that it stands securely at the installation site. It can also be mounted as a wall case, using the optional fastening clips which are available to permanently connect to the lower shell. M3 threaded sockets made of steel can be pressed into the lower shell and used to mount circuit boards, mounting plates or other electronic devices.

The plastic KSG cases are available in four standard sizes: KSG 1 measures 57 x 27 x 87mm, KSG 2 measures 107 x 33 x 87mm, KSG 3 measures 127 x 47 x 107mm and KSG 4 measures 107 x 50 x 167mm. In addition to these standard cases, special sizes can be implemented according to customer-specific requirements.

Fischer Elektronik also offers milling and printing on request.
