FMC from VadaTech has quad ADC/quad DAC

Embedded board manufacturer, VadaTech, has announced its latest FPGA mezzanine card (FMC), the FMC231.

The FMC231 is an FMC per VITA 57.1 specification that offers dynamic performance via dual channel analogue to digital converters, making quad ADC, and quad digital to analogue converter (DAC)  (the ADC chips are dual channel) and quad DAC (the DAC chip using a quad-channel DAC. The ADC uses TI ADS54J60 providing 16-bit conversion rates of up to 1.0Gsample per second (with option for ADS54J69 at 500Msample per second) with a TI DAC39J84 providing 16-bit conversion rates of up to 2.8Gsample per second. The module is available without DAC installed for applications requiring input only.

The analogue input/output (I/O), clock and trigger interface of the FMC231 are routed via SSMC connectors. The internal clock frequency is programmable and the clock is capable of locking to an external reference. The clock input for direct RF sampling is supported. The high sample rate and provision of four channel input and output in a compact form factor makes the FMC231 suitable for applications such as radar, signal intelligence/electronic warfare (sigint/EW), broadband wireless, communication test equipment and software defined radio (SDR).

VadaTech provides embedded computing solutions from board-level products, chassis-level platforms, to configurable application-ready systems.
