Greenliant increases endurance of SATA ArmourDrive SSDs

Two solid state drives (SSDs) from Greenliant, the mSATA and SATA M.2 2242 ArmourDrive EX Series solid state drives have EnduroSLC technology for data retention and high endurance. They are available in 60, 120 and 300,000 program / erase cycles. They feature Greenliant’s in-house controllers and are available in 10, 20, 40, 80, 160 and 320Gbyte capacities.

The mSATA and SATA M.2 2242 ArmourDrive EX Series SSDs are included in Greenliant’s Long-Term Availability (LTA) programme. This provides  customers with a stable portfolio of high-endurance data storage products for up to 10 years.

Greenliant is also shipping mSATA and SATA M.2 2242 / 2280 ArmourDrive PX Series SSDs using cost-effective industrial three-bit-per-cell (TLC) 3D NAND. These SSDs support 5,000 program / erase cycles and are available in 64, 128, 256 and 512Gbyte capacities.

Both the ArmourDrive EX and PX Series SSDs operate at industrial temperature ranges (-40 to +85 degrees C) and support the SATA 6Gbit per second interface. SATA is a widely used, high speed interface suitable for embedded storage design in industrial, medical, aerospace, security, networking and transportation systems.

ArmourDrive solid state storage products have power-fail data protection and SATA M.2 2280 ArmourDrive includes additional power loss protection circuitry for greater data integrity. The SSDs are also rigorously tested for shock and vibration to withstand the most extreme environments.

Greenliant’s high endurance mSATA and SATA M.2 ArmourDrive EX and PX Series SSDs are available for volume production now.

EnduroSLC is a proprietary 3D NAND management technology developed by Greenliant for high reliability applications requiring superior data retention and endurance in extreme temperature, high stress environments. It features hardware ECC (error code correction) capabilities and NAND flash management algorithms to “significantly” extend the write endurance of one-bit-per-cell (SLC) SSDs reaching an industry leading figure of 300,000 program-erase cycles. Due to its substantially lower bit error rate, an EnduroSLC SSD provides better consistency in read/write performance throughout product lifetime.

Greenliant is dedicated to developing durable, reliable and secure storage solutions for embedded systems and enterprise data centres.

The company is headquartered in Silicon Valley with product development centers in Santa Clara, Beijing, Shanghai, Xiamen and Hsinchu.
