Lepida SR4L054 joins Antenova’s 5G antenna family
UK manufacturer, Antenova has added the Lepida SR4L054 to its array of 5G antennae.
The Lepida SR4L054 is a wideband, surface mount technology antenna, designed to achieve high efficiency and performance across the spectrum from 600MHz to 3800MHz.
Lepida operates across the cellular bands B71 (617 to 698MHz), LTE 700, GSM850, GSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900, WCDMA2100, B40 (2300 to 2400MHz), B7 (2500 to 2690MHz), and B78 (3300 to 3800MHz).
The antenna is linear polarised and has been designed to ensure excellent co-planarity, Antenova claims.
Antenova has built Lepida for the more demanding applications in 5G, 4G and LTE. In particular, it is designed for wireless devices in the automotive sector, aerospace and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), smart metering applications, remote control and 5G routers.
“Lepida targets the growing 5G market,” said Antenova’s executive chairman, Paul Hill.
Samples of the Lepida SR4L054 5G antenna are available to order now, and the antenna ships in autumn 2020.
The Lepida SMD antenna is the latest addition to Antenova’s range, which offers a wide choice of embedded antennas covering 5G, 4G/LTE, 3G, 2G, NB-IoT, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GNSS/GPS frequencies. Antenova’s lamiiANT antennae are made to SMD designs using laminated FR4 materials, and the flexiiANT antennae are flexible FPC designs with a cable and connector offering an alternative choice for some small devices. The company recently introduced its Rabo group of terminal antennae which also operate on 5G, as well as the 4G, 3G and 2G cellular bands.
Antenova’s antennae are designed for easy integration into a wireless design. The Lepida datasheet, with 5G performance data and integration guide, is available to download at Antenova’s website, and 5G antenna samples and evaluation boards are available to order.
Antenova provides full integration, antenna matching, over-the-air and passive testing services.
