M8 Profinet/Ethernet connectors are vibration-proof
Vibration- and torsion-proof connectors with D-coding and 360-degree shielding have been released by Provertha.
Now available in the of M8/M12 circular connector range, the M8 crimp CF connectors have 360 degree shielding with D code in protection class IP67.
The compact four-pin M8 connectors are specified by the PNO (Profibus User Organisation) according to the Profinet guidelines and enable robust and space-saving solutions for Profinet and Ethernet networks, says Provertha. The optimised design specifically meets the requirements for a functionally reliable Ethernet connection and interference-free data transmission in applications with high levels of vibration and torsion, such as in railway and transport technology. It can also be used in factory automation for automatic punching machines and robot applications.
The compact all-metal enclosure can be used in confined installation spaces and protects against interference in harsh environments. The twisted crimp contacts ensure high network security, while the plastics used for railway applications are EN 45 545-2 certified, explains Provertha. The connectors also have a rated current of 4A, a rated voltage of 60V DC, an insulation resistance of ± 100MOhm, a conductor cross-section of AWG 26 -22 and a cable diameter of 4.5 to 6.9mm. The connectors can be used in the temperature range from -20 to +85 degrees C.
