Modular jack connectors from Würth Elektronik include Cat6-compatible models

The WR-MJ modular jack connector range for fast Ethernet now include RJ45 jacks in the 8P8C layout. The modular jacks are intended for Cat6 data lines.

The modular jacks are available in horizontal or vertical and a 47.5 degree angle option. Shielded and unshielded designs are available, and some models have EMI contact fingers. The layout makes the connectors compatible with corresponding Cat5 products, says Würth Elektronik.

These WR-MJ modular jacks can be used for cabling local area network (LAN) systems with transmission rates of up to 10,000Mbits per second (according to IEEE 802.3).

Gold-plated copper alloy is used for the contacts and the connectors’ isolation meets the requirements of flammability class UL94 V-0.

Operating temperature range is -40 to +85 degrees.

There are eight Cat6-compatible connectors: the WR-MJ THT horizontal shielded 8P8C tab-up, the WR-MJ THT horizontal shielded EMI 8P8C, the WR-MJ THT horizontal plastic 8P8C tab-up, the WR-MJ THT vertical shielded 8P8C, the WR-MJ THT vertical shielded EMI 8P8C, the WR-MJ THT vertical plastic 8P8C, the WR-MJ THT 47.5 degree 8P8C and the WR-MJ THT 47.5 degree shielded 8P8C.

All WR-MJ products supplied by Würth Elektronik are available ex stock without a minimum order volume. Free-of-charge samples can also be supplied on request.
