Portable GPU accelerator provides AI on the move
A portable GPU accelerator released by Adlink Technology to boost performance and productivity is scalable from development to deployment. PocketAI accelerates AI processing at a fraction of the cost of a laptop with equivalent GPU power, said Adlink Technology.
It is based on Nvidia’s RTX A500 GPU and is driven by Nvidia’s CUDA and accelerated libraries. There is also a Thunderbolt 3 interface and USB PD for delivery and power and is supported by Nvidia developer tools.
The PocketAI accelerator is also compact and lightweight, measuring 106 x 72 x 25mm and weighing 250g.
It can be used by students and beginners to learn and validate their knowledge as well as for experienced developers who are cultivating and demonstrating new concepts. The professional graphics users will find Pocket AI helpful for CAD 3D content and development, 2D illustration and accelerated video processing. Other uses are in embedded industrial applications to support 3D rendering, AI enhanced image processing, dynamic field use with scalable performance and sensor fusion pairing on a mobile workstation. Example applications are medical imaging and augmented reality which often need on demand, portable power.
Pocket AI will be available for pre-order from April 2023 and with shipping from June 2023.
