Recom introduces AC/DCs for flush wall-mount installations
The RACM18/W and RACM30/W AC/DC converters were developed by Recom for household, medical and ITE applications, which need rugged, certified AC/DC modules for off-board installations.
The electronic circuitry and IP68 waterproof encapsulation withstand harsh operating conditions and make them reliable in adverse conditions. The compact, round shape allows them to be fitted into flush, wall-mount wall installations and they are equipped with the latest household, medical and ITE certifications.
The series are efficient power conversion modules, which were designed for BF- RACM18-ER/W and RACM30-ER/W rated medical, household and industrial applications, such as smart building, 2xMOPP medical healthcare, sanitary, and laundry appliances. They are able to operate at an altitude up to 5000m and at temperature ranges from -20 to +80°C. The RACM18/W and RACM30/W series are covered by the latest EN60335 household standards, as well as the IEC/EN60601 medical and the IEC/EN60950 ITE standards.
These modules include dual fusing and surge protection and do not need any external components, as they pass Class B with at least 6dB below the limit, says Recom. The CE-marked standard versions have 140 and 190mm long wires for input and output connections which can be adapted.
Both the RACM18-ER/W and RACM30-ER/W carry a three-year warranty. Samples are available from all authorised distributors.
