Sapphire releases motherboards powered by AMD Ryzen Embedded V2000
Powered by the latest AMD Ryzen Embedded V2000 processor family, the Sapphire V2000 BP-FP6 and FS-FP6 motherboards support multiple independent displays in 4K resolution.
The Sapphire V2000 FS-FP6 (pictured) can support up to four independent 4K displays. The Sapphire V2000 FS-FP6 is a 5.0 x 5.0-inch (127 x 127mm) mini-STX motherboard is designed for the AMD Ryzen V2000 FP6 family application processor units (APUs) with Vega graphics processor unit (GPU) graphics combined with the six/eight-core, high-performance Zen2 CPU. The V2000 FS-FP6 features up to 64Gbyte dual-channel DDR4-3200 memory, dual Ethernet controllers, M.2 for WiFi and SSD expansion. The external I/O connectivity includes four DisplayPort 1.4, one USB 3.1 Type-C port, one USB 3.1 Gen 2 port and four USB 2.0 ports.
The AMD Embedded Ryzen V2000 family is designed for embedded applications such as thin client, mini PC and edge systems. Equipped with up to eight CPU cores and seven GPU compute units, a single AMD Ryzen Embedded V2000 processor provides twice the multi-threaded performance per watt, claims Sapphire, with up to 30 per cent better single thread CPU performance and up to 40 per cent better graphics performance, compared with the previous generation.
The Sapphire V2000 BP-FP6 is a 4.0 x 4.0-inch (100 x 100mm) NUC form factor board designed for small form factor, high resolution visual embedded applications like mini-PC, kiosk, medical imaging and interactive digital signage. The V2000 BP-FP6 supports up to two 4K displays in addition to 64Gbyte dual-channel DDR4-3200 memory, one Gbit Ethernet port and M.2 for WiFi and SSD expansion. It has two HDMI 2.1 with four USB 3.1 ports.
