TTI adds Amphenol’s X-Lok connector for harsh environments
Suitable for industrial automation and marine applications, Amphenol LTW’s X-Lok connector portfolio for signal, power and hybrid applications is now available from TTI.
The IP68 rated connector provides UV exposure protection. Its push lock mechanism enables blind mating for fast, simple and convenient installation, repair and maintenance in the field, says TTI. The X-Lok series meets the standards required for industrial connectors – devices are manufactured using UL94V-0 and UL-f1-rated material to provide protection against UV exposure, as well as being IP68 rated to protect against jets of water and dust ingress.
Ease-of-installation features include an easy-grip design to prevent the connector being accidentally dropped, together with confirmation of correct mating position with audible feedback. Seals of different sizes are colour coded for identification.
The X-Lok series is offered with a variety of receptacles, and can accommodate a range of wire and cables. Technical specifications include voltage rating of 300V AC/DC (power) and current rating of 20A. Contacts are silver plated copper alloy. Temperature range is -40 to +105 degrees C.
As well as industrial and factory automation and marine electronics, the X-Lok series can be specified for use in LED lighting, renewable energy, IP CCTV and security and rapid mass transport systems.
