Two-part PCB connectors are rugged for mil-aero systems
Two-part PCB connectors from Lane Electronics are designed to offer high resistance to vibration for military and aerospace systems where total reliability is essential, as well as in industrial applications.
The 801 Series is a two row, two-part PCB connector system based on MIL-DTL-55302. The connectors feature removable low frequency contacts on a 1.27mm (0.05 inch) staggered pitch with 2.54mm (0. 1inch) between rows and can be supplied with a variety of contact types and configurations in 19 body sizes up to 96-way versions. Terminations include solder, PC, straight, 90 degrees, crimp, and wire wrapping depending on the type of contact used. Polarising and jacking facilities are available.
FC Lanes also offers the 801CX connector, which offers identical pitch and size options between rows of removable low frequency contacts. Additionally, it adds a mix of high power, up to 25A and coax contacts up to 2GHz. It is also designed to meet the requirements of MIL-DTL-55302.
MIL-DTL-55302 covers connectors (plugs and receptacles) for PCB sub assemblies and their accessories, for use in high reliability single-sided, double-sided and multi-layer printed wiring applications. The materials used are also covered by MI-DTL-55302 including those for the contacts, the plating and the plastic bodies.
Both the 801 and 801CX series are designed to meet other UK and international standards including, BS9525 N0001, BS9525 F0006, F00012, F0027 and F0041.
Lane Electronics has stocks of both the 801 and 801CX series of connectors. Additional quantities can be quickly assembled in-house to meet a customer’s specific requirements at Weald Electronics (a sister company).
