Vicor adds ZVS buck regulators in a BGA tin-lead package

Two ZVS buck regulators have been added by Vicor to its portfolio. The PI3323 and the PI3325 have an extended operating temperature range of –55 to +120° degrees C and an optional tin-lead 10 x 14mm SiP BGA package for Mil COTS applications.

The high-density and high-efficiency buck regulators have a 14 to 42V input voltage range and support nominal outputs of 3.3 and 5.0V, adjustable over 2.2 to 4.0V and 4.0 to 6.5V, respectively.

The PI3323 and the PI3325 buck regulators offer up to 22A of continuous operation and up to 96 per cent peak efficiency. They are easy to parallel for higher power delivery, Vicor adds.

The company offers the PI3323-00-BGMP and the P13325-00-BGMP ZVS buck regulators in a tin-lead BGA.

The PI3323-00-BGIZ (3.3V, 2.2 to 4.0V and -40 to +120 degrees C), PI3323-00-BGMZ (.3V, 2.2 to 4.0V and -55 to +120 degrees C), PI3325-00-BGIZ (5.0V, 4.0 to 6.5V and -40 to +120 degrees C) and PI3325-00-BGMZ (.50V, 4.0 to 6.5V and -55 to +120 degrees C) complete the line-up.

Vicor designs, develops, manufactures and markets modular power components and complete power systems based upon a portfolio of patented technologies.

Headquartered in Andover, Massachusetts, Vicor sells its products to the power systems market, including enterprise and high-performance computing, industrial equipment and automation, telecommunications and network infrastructure, vehicles and transportation, aerospace and defence.
